When the Frankfurt Eintracht was allowed to kick again in the first league for the 2006/2007 season after the already third relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga, the fans sang with full conviction: "Nie mehr Zweite Liga"! A dream that unfortunately was not to come true. In the 2011/12 season, Eintracht was once again in the second division. But the relegation was not to last. In their book "Comeback Eintracht - Aufstieg mit Ansage" Klaus Veit, Christian Heimrich and Markus Katzenbach trace the club's path to a truly spectacular promotion. The three authors, who as sports editors of the Frankfurter Neue Presse were firmly convinced that the fourth visit to the second division was only a brief flying visit, have documented the entire season with all its ups and downs and thus offer the fan not only a thrilling insight into an exciting season, which, among other things, finally offered a derby between Eintracht and FSV Frankfurt again after almost fifty years. It is also an interesting look behind the scenes of contemporary professional football thrown, where there is just not only praise, but also very critical comments to read.

What makes the book so recommendable, apart from the interesting texts, the statistical information and the match analyses, are the numerous photos taken in the training camps, at press conferences as well as during (and after) the matches on the pitch and in the fan stands. Some very intense snapshots have been captured, documenting not only the glorious moments of the season, but also unflattering aspects such as fan riots, squabbles and defeats.

The sentence "Ob der Adler nun zu einem weiteren Höhenflug ansetzt, das muss die Zukunft zeigen", with which the book ends, one would like after the fulminanten start into the new first league season best immediately in "Dass der Adler nun zu einem weiteren Höhenflug ansetzt, was of course exactly so to be expected". But whether this flight of fancy continues, that will show just really only the future. Fact is however that the "Aufstieg with announcement" more than succeeded, which makes this book all the more worth reading. Because if you follow how the traditional club has fought its way up from the cellar and how great the support of the fans has been even in the not so pleasant times, then every victory in the First League can be celebrated all the more beautifully. Therefore, this book can also be warmly recommended to every loyal fan of Eintracht. Recommendable
