Sustainability, fair trade, organic farming, ecological awareness - these are all points that are occupying more and more people in their everyday lives. Whether shopping, eating out or organizing their leisure time, they would like to be guided by these aspects. But this is often easier said than done. For it is not always easy to find out whether a retailer offers organic products, whether a shop offers fair trade goods or where great importance is attached to sustainability. The non-profit association Reflecta wants to help with the "Green City Guide Frankfurt". In different chapters, Frankfurt is presented from its particularly green, fair, ecological and beautiful sides.

The offer is initially divided by districts. Whether downtown, Sachsenhausen, Gallus, Nordend, Bornheim, Bockenheim or Westend, here the reader gets a colorful compilation of important addresses for all walks of life. From organic bakeries to health food shops, second hand shops, markets, nurseries to cafes or even baby carriage organic cleaners, you really will find what you are looking for in almost all areas of everyday life. The addresses presented are supplemented by photos and various interviews, for example with city councillor Rosemarie Heilig, Lovis Willenberg from Heldenmarkt or Joerg Weber from Bürger AG.

After the visit to the individual districts, a few short articles follow, for example on organic seals or sustainability in banking. Afterwards the book visits the green sides of Frankfurt and offers some nice excursion tips. Whether Palmengarten, Goetheturm, Schwanheimer Dünen, LILU or Alter Flugplatz Bonames - in this part of the book it becomes very clear how green and versatile Frankfurt is and how many beautiful destinations the city has to offer.

Even if you buy your food not only in the organic market or at the weekly market, even if you do not pay attention to every piece of clothing, where it was made from what material, this city guide is a really nice and helpful work that gives interesting, versatile and sometimes surprising tips for shopping, going out and enjoying. Absolutely recommendable!
