There is a lot new with Mirko Reeh. Not only that he has completely redesigned his cooking school in Frankfurt and can thus offer his courses in high-quality equipped premises. Reeh has also published two new cookbooks: PASTA PASTA with his favourite pasta recipes and DIE SOßE MACHT`S. In addition to all kinds of delicious recipes, these books also offer lots of practical tips for everyday kitchen life.

PASTA PASTA:

In 220 pages, Reeh has a wide range of pasta recipes on here. No matter if you like it more traditional, or if it may be something more unusual, no matter if it has to go fast, or if the preparation can take a little more time and effort, the book offers the right recipe for every taste and occasion. Thus, in addition to macaroni and cheese or lasagna, there are also recipes such as saffron-poppy ravioli or deep-fried ravioli with asparagus filling or a ricotta-parmesan tartlet in a purple pasta nest and saffron foam. In presenting these dishes, Reeh confines himself to the essentials: in addition to the preparation time and ingredients, the reader is given an explanation of the preparation in simple, comprehensible steps. Important basic knowledge about pasta cooking and a list of things you should absolutely have for it are clearly conveyed in the first part of the book. The recipes themselves are then divided into VEGETARIAN, FISH, MEAT, and DESSERT sections.

Simplistic yet culinarily stimulating pictures complement this extensive collection of recipes. There is a recipe here for almost every occasion and every taste. Browsing and trying out is of course a lot of fun! Who would like to cook also times Pastavariationen far away from Spagetti Bolognese (which are to be found here freely also in a delicious variant), to which this cookbook can be warmly put to the heart.

DIE SOß macht`S:

That an already good dish only by the suitable sauce becomes really excellent, is no secret. But which sauce goes with which dish, which delicious dips and dressings intensify the taste experience and which sauces make sweet even sweeter? Mirko Reeh has compiled 126 sauces in this book, whereby also here the clear and easy to follow way of recipe presentation stands out - in addition to the versatility of the presented sauces, of course. Whether it's ketchups, classic Thai curries, hot yogurt sauce or cherry sauce, Caribbean curry, sour cream cucumber salsa or vodka mayonnaise dressing, hot, cold or sweet sauces, the book has the right answer for all sauce questions. And as befits a cookbook from the region, of course, the green sauce may not be missing.

PASTA PASTA and DIE SOßE MACHT`S are two recommendable cookbooks that are also made for such hobby cooks who may not have the very great culinary prior knowledge, but still want to spoil the palates of their guests - or of course their own - with unusual or simply delicious delicacies. Versatile, clear, enriched with helpful tips and easy to understand preparation descriptions, that's exactly how a good cookbook should be. And that makes then these two books also quite: Recommendable!
