Content: These are turbulent times for the employees of the acting agency ASK (Agence Samuel Kerr). Although investor Hicham Janowski had saved the company from insolvency, the future is anything but on safe legs. The pregnant Andréa, who had applied for the job in New York but did not get it because of her pregnancy, knows this too. Now she must fear for her clients, who Matthias wants to snatch up as soon as she is on maternity leave. And Hicham is getting fed up with the intrigues and hostility, so he rethinks his position at ASK. When actress Isabelle Huppert is double-booked, it could lead to the agency's final demise.

The third season of the hit French series Call my Agent continues to disenchant the beautiful pretence of the film industry in a wonderfully biting and backhanded way. The stories of the agency's employees and their relationships with each other are spun consistently. This ensures that the series never feels like it's treading water, even though the concept hasn't changed much since the first episode. Very well works also the restrained humor, which is served absolutely accurate, but which also still has enough room for the more dramatic aspects of the individual plot lines.

Due to the fact that the characters are drawn so multilayered and interesting, the guest appearances of prominent French acting stars give the whole thing a very special touch, without being played by them the actual protagonists in the shadows. In season 3, Jean Dujardin, Monica Bellucci and Isabelle Huppert, among others, do the honors. Dujardin in particular is simply wonderful as an actor who goes a little overboard with the term method acting. But it's to all the stars' credit that they play themselves with a good dose of self-mockery, taking the piss out of their profession in an affectionate but thoroughly biting way.

All this makes Call my Agent enormously worth watching again in its third season. And after the turbulent events of the six episodes, you really only want one thing: More of it! Therefore, it is again quite clear: Absolutely worth seeing!

Picture + Sound: Compared to the first two seasons, there are no significant changes in the picture and sound quality. The coloration looks very natural, there are no distracting blurs or even image smudges and there is also no reason to complain about the contrast tuning. The Dolby Digital 5.1 mix is relatively unspectacular, though the dialogue is mixed well enough to be understood. Ambient noise also provides some surround movement here and there. Good!

Extras: Unfortunately, there is no bonus material.

Conclusion: Call my Agent lives also in the third season from the self-deprecating guest appearances of French acting greats (Jean Dujardin is just wonderful), but also from the great drawn characters within the acting agency ASK. The new episodes consistently drive the story forward and leave you wanting more in the end! The DVDs of season 3 are technically again on a good to very good level. Only bonus material is missing in the third attempt. Nevertheless, there is a bottom line quite clear one: Absolutely worth seeing!
