They get to show their particularly cheeky side again: after the huge success of "Freche Mädchen", Mila (Emilia Schüle), Hanna (Selina Shirin Müller) and Kati (Henriette Nagel) return for a new cinematic adventure. And once again, how could it be otherwise, everything revolves around boys and friendship.

Actually, everything is going great for the three friends. They are inseparable and happy with their friends. But their happiness doesn't last long. When Mila learns that her Markus (Jonathan Beck) can not go on the upcoming choir trip and that the bitch Vanessa (Christina Peifer) will spend the summer on the farm of Markus parents, the fuses burn out with her. And Hanna also has stress with her Branko (Ben Unterkofler), who seems more interested in his girlfriend's singing career than in Hanna herself. And finally, Kati has to cope with the separation of her parents and, on the side, finds out that her Tobi (Vincent Bruder) can't get the highest score on her infatuation scale in all categories. And as if that wasn't bad enough, the hated teacher Rumpelstilzchen (Armin Rohde), of all people, accompanies the students on a choir trip to the mountains - where there is also no cell phone reception. Can life be any more unfair...?

"Freche Mädchen 2" is clearly aimed at its female target audience. This is admittedly not artistically valuable, as the story and also the production are filled with endless clichés. Whether it's the completely over-the-top silly portrayal of the teachers, Mila's highly intelligent attempts to get cell phone reception on the mountains only to catch her boyfriend in a supposedly compressive situation with Vanessa, or even Kati's cramped attempts at walking in the modeling business, these elements are rather unintentionally hilarious for viewers beyond 16 and tend to make you shake your head in disbelief rather than pure excitement.

However, for the target audience, the film offers enough good reasons to go to the cinema a second time with the "Freche Mädchen". The decent soundtrack, the three likeable leading actresses who offer a high identification potential for many girls, lots of "cute boys" (quote from a 13-year-old press screening attendee), well-behaved humor and harmless drama, all this is sure to find favor with girls between 8 and 16. And therefore also applies: for the target group absolutely worth seeing, all others should give the cinema a wide berth
