Content: Bella has finally decided and married her Edward. The Volturi are defeated and the dangers to the couple, their daughter Renesmee are banished. And for all Twilight fans, an exciting time has come to an end. Those who haven't read the books and never got into the movies will hardly understand the hype that has been made in recent years about the novels, the supernatural love triangle between humans, vampires and werewolves or about the main actors. But even if, factually speaking, the films aren't among the best made for young adults in the past, there's no denying that Stephenie Meyer and the creators of the film adaptations of her books have struck a nerve with fans, making the stories of Bella, Edward and Jacob just plain happy for millions of primarily female viewers. They've feasted, dreamed and pined along, alone or in communities of fans - all over the world.

But now that story has come to an end. And even though Stephenie Meyer has not ruled out returning to this world again, this Bis(s) series will always remain something very special that cannot be repeated so easily either. Fans who want to celebrate this farewell once again get the opportunity to do so with the Bis(s) in alle Ewigkeit Complete Collection of films. Here again a short summary of the contents of the individual films:

Twilight - Until (s) the dawn

Eigenbrödlerin Bella (Kristen Stewart) lives with her mother in Phoenix. When she remarries and plans to travel across the U.S. with her new husband, Bella moves in with her father in the small town of Forks. Here, in the heart of Washington, there's really very little to experience except constant rain. But then she meets the mysterious Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), who seems to be the first person to look directly into her soul. But even if Edward is her soulmate, the quickly budding love between the two is not under a good star. Because Edward is different from the other boys at Bella's school: he's incredibly fast, enormously strong - and hasn't aged a day in 90 years. Not surprising, since Edward is a vampire. And even though he and his family don't feed on human blood, a relationship with him puts Bella in grave danger. For when the evil bloodsuckers Laurent and James, the Cullen family's mortal enemies, come to Forks, Bella finds that as Edward's girlfriend, she is at the top of the vampires' menu...

New Moon - Until(s) the Midday Hour

For some time now, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) have been a couple. However, the relationship is not under a good star. While Bella is aware that their love has little chance as long as she is a mortal, an accident during Bella's birthday, in which Edward's brother almost loses control of himself, makes the vampire aware that Bella is in constant danger when she is with him. And so it comes to pass, as it must: Edward pushes Bella away and leaves town with his family. Bella is threatened by the apparent end of her great love. But in Jacob (Taylor Lautner) she finds a loyal friend who gives her comfort. But Jacob is also surrounded by a dark secret that could become dangerous for Bella. What's more, there's another danger lurking in the woods, someone who has sworn bloody vengeance on the Cullens and is after Bella's young life.

Eclipse - Until(s) Evening Red

Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is still deeply conflicted about her feelings. On the one hand, she would love to say yes to Edward's (Robert Pattinson) marriage proposal. But standing in the way of that is not only Edward's reluctance to accept Bella's desire to become a vampire as well, but also her repressed feelings for werewolf Jacob (Taylor Lautner), which she still doesn't quite know how to categorize. Adding to this emotional chaos are ominous reports from Seattle of young people disappearing, suggesting that someone is breeding an army of young vampires to go to war with the Cullens. And it's soon clear who's behind this plan, Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard), who has a score to settle with Edward and Bella. Alone the Cullens can't win this fight and so they have to form an unusual alliance. But will that alone be enough to stand up to Victoria's army?

Breaking Dawn - Until(s) the End of the Night - Part 1 (is available in the boxed set as an extended version)

Now, after the events of Eclipse, the future is finally looking a little brighter for Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson). After a true dream wedding, they are honeymooning on a romantic island near Rio. And even if the first time has left clear marks on Bella, the passion for more grows in the newly minted Mrs. Cullen. Edward, on the other hand, is reserved, not wanting to hurt his young bride. The two realize that it is already too late for that when Bella discovers that she is pregnant. But it is not a normal pregnancy. The baby grows in her belly with incredible speed and robs the expectant mother of any vitality. While Edward must fear for Bella's life, the offspring also poses a real threat to Jacob's (Taylor Lautner) clan. Therefore, it is decided to kill Bella and the child, which Jacob, of course, can not allow. And so, in the face of a life-threatening birth, a relentless battle between vampires and werewolves also ensues, with Jacob having to go against his own family and side with his greatest rival.

Breaking Dawn - Until(s) the End of the Night - Part 2

.After Bella (Kristen Stewart) almost died at the end of the first part of Breaking Dawn during the birth of their daughter Renesmee and only escaped the final death, because her husband Edward (Robert Pattinson) has finally granted her wish to become a vampire too, now nothing really stands in the way of a happy family life. But since Bella's father Charlie (Billy Burke) is not allowed to know that his daughter is a vampire now, the whole Cullen family has to move away from Forkes. Jacob, who has been imprinted on Renesmee and thus will be responsible for her protection for the rest of her life, can't let that happen. So instead of telling Charlie that Bella has died, he tells him the truth. In doing so, he unwittingly sets events in motion that could have disastrous consequences. Because now that the Cullens don't have to hide, Renesmee's existence soon becomes known among the vampires and trickles down to the Volturi. And they see the rapidly growing child as a real threat that must be destroyed. Of course, newly minted vampire mama Bella can't let that happen. And so the Cullens gather allied vampires from all over the world around them to arm themselves for the all-important battle against the Volturi...

Picture + Sound: In the first films, there are still some small weaknesses in the sharpness of detail and in the color mixing, which prevent the otherwise very clean and sharp image can be called very good. But especially the last three parts can fully convince in this regard and actually leave hardly any reason to complain. The sound is primarily dominated by languorous dialogues and the songs of the soundtrack, but in the few real action sequences the sound pleases with high dynamics and decent surround effects. Again, things ramp up from film to film, with the surround effects increasing not only in quantity, but also in intensity. Finally, the big final battle then provides a real surround fireworks display, with things really cracking in the home cinema. Good!

Extras: The complete box has a whopping 916 min. of bonus material to offer. Much of the extras have been carried over from the previous individual releases of the films. So for each film there is a multi-part making of, extended and removed scenes, music videos, interviews, trailers, various featurettes and some audio commentaries. But the box set also has just under two hours of new bonus material to offer, which fans are sure to enjoy. The centerpiece is the new retrospective The Twilight Saga: From Beginning to(s) End (approx. 65 min.). Using old and new interviews, footage from the filming and fan events, the documentary beautifully traces the series' journey to the big screen and what the films meant to the creators, cast and fans.

The Twilight Saga: Until(s) the Bitter End (08:23 min.) amusingly shows that not everything was always deadly serious on set and that there were always mishaps, slip-ups and similar goofs. The people to whom the series owes its success are then the focus of The Twilight Saga: From Fan to TwiHard (approx. 34 min.). Here not only makers and stars, but also some passionate fans get to speak. A nice documentary, which shows just such viewers, who can not sor genuinely explain the success of Twilight, what the books and movies in some people can trigger violent feelings of happiness.

Finally, there is a special kind of book club on the bonus disc. In The Twilight Saga: Stephenie Meyer Answers Questions from A to(s) Z (approx. 33 min.), a TV feature from 2008, the author sits down with some fans and good-humoredly gives answers to all the questions that have been burning under their nails for a long time. You can't really get much more in the way of bonus material. Very good!

Conclusion:Twilight is a phenomenon that really hasn't opened up to everyone. It's easy to gripe about the rather simplistically structured story or the not-always-quality film adaptations. But there's just no denying that Stephenie Meyer's novels, the film adaptations and their actors have hit right at the heart of fans and made many millions of people happy. And that is actually enough to give these works a right to exist. Who just can not get enough of Bella, Edward & Co. for whom there is now once again all the films in a neat complete box, which offers especially with two hours of new bonus material an additional purchase incentive for fans. For all TwiHards absolutely recommendable!
