At last, children's eyes may beam again and the mouths of adult circus fans may be wide open in amazement when this year it may once again be said: "Manege frei" for the artists of the Great Christmas Circus! For the eighth time now, Circus Carl Busch will be giving a guest performance with an atmospheric and high-calibre programme at the festival site on Ratsweg, right next to Frankfurt's ice rink. In compliance with the current Corona regulations, artists, clowns and music will take the audience into a very special circus world in the 2000-person tent palace. Among the performers will be the Ukrainian artistic troupe Bingo, a regular guest at the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival for many years, where clown Henry Ayala has also been awarded the Silver Clown. In Frankfurt he will provide for really good mood.
With grandillussions in the style of the fantasy fairy tale "Alice in Wonderland" Alexandra Saabel will enchant the visitors of this year's Great Christmas Circus in the truest sense of the word! You won't believe your eyes when Alice and her friends appear or disappear out of nowhere. Nguyen Thi Hoa and Tchiu Hien Phuoc will fly through the air on straplines, while the Kazakh Ilja Smyslov will thrill with breathtaking floor juggling. In addition, the audience can expect equilibristics, high-wire acrobatics, daring performances on the duo trapeze, as well as acts with dogs and horses.
Of course: thanks to first-class artists, modern lighting technology, creative staging ideas and rousing live music from a six-piece orchestra, Carl Busch will once again present circus tradition at its best.
