Ami doesn't need many words to say what she wants to say. Her lyrics come across as unfiltered, unbowed and direct. And this directness is what makes Ami's songs so charming. NAfter the release of her first album "Part of me" in 2014, the young Munich native with roots in Aruba is considered one of Germany's most promising newcomers by the feuilletons. "Seasons", the second album, is released in 2016 - and sounds very different from its reggae and blues-tinged predecessor. More mature, more relaxed, with hypnotic beats and soulful ballads. At the same time - and from the beginning - Ami also writes German songs. Light, poetic songs, without a raised forefinger, without pathos, but very touching. Ami's art is to create a great intimacy through her words, a closeness to her listeners that makes you feel pleasantly understood. Her songs seem relaxed and at the same time have an intensity that touches you immediately. Ami's audience is enraptured, and what was initially only a small part of the live program is becoming more and more demanded. The new program is entirely in German.
