Irresistible mix of ballet, street dance and Latin moves
.The two choreographers Roclan González Chávez and Aaron Cash are responsible for the wonderful choreographies, which include classical ballet, modern dance and hip-hop, but of course also elements from rumba, salsa or mambo. They manage to make the 21 dancers set each of their steps in sync, sparkling with electrifying liveliness. "Most dancers dance with the music," says Aaron Cash "But the Cubans dance in it." And Chavez adds, "Cuban dancers move differently than any other dancers in the world." That Cuban sense of movement is Ballet Revolución's recipe for success. "The Afro-Cuban dance style gives them a great looseness in the shoulders and hips. Dancing is pure passion," Chavez says. Thus, an exuberant mashup of ballet, street and contemporary dance emerges from the diversity of musical and dance influences.
