After a two-year pandemic-related break, the Baroque on the Main Festival can finally take place again in the courtyard of the Höchster Porzellan-Manufaktur. With the support of the head of the department of culture, Ina Hartwig, and author Rainer Dachselt, Michael Quast, director of the festival and director of the Volksbühne im Großen Hirschgraben, presented this year's program for the first time at the Volksbühne. There he revealed what the audience can look forward to this summer:

On the 2022 schedule is "Worschtmichels Traum oder Der König von Frankfort". A comedy in Hessian dialect by Rainer Dachselt after motives of the Danish baroque poet Ludvig Holberg.

The eternal butcher journeyman Michel has a bleak life. Only when he has been drinking does he dream of power and greatness: "If I were king of Frankfort, some would look around!" - When he suddenly finds himself in a lordly position, the fun and the doom take their course. Quast says: "Everything is ready for the new start after the pandemic. We'll do anything to win back our audience!"

Sarah Groß directs the comedy with the Barock am Main Ensemble and Michael Quast in the title role.

It plays Alexander J. Beck, Dominic Betz, Pirkko Cremer, Claudia Jacobacci, Ulrike Kinbach, Eric Lenke, Ulrich Sommer and Michael Quast in the title role. The festival runs from July 21 to August 14 in the courtyard of the Höchster Porzellan-Manufaktur, Palleskestraße 32. The maps leave themselves by telephone under 069/4272649 or under https://www.barock-am-main.com/bestellen. They cost between 29 and 38 euros, pupils and students pay 10 euros.
