Life is not a playground! Mother teacher at the elementary school, father crammer at the high school and the own uncle in the director's chair. A scholastic Guantanamo, growing up harder than the certainly gluten-free recess rusk of all gym teachers. And all this in glamorous Gelsenkirchen, the picture-perfect Florence of the Ruhr region, with the charm of a mouldy sandwich box and a central bathroom that would have plunged even Erich Honecker into depression. This is how the childhood of Germany's probably best-known teacher's kid, Bastian Bielendorfer, can be summed up. But the development years were yesterday, now the really merciless reality begins. In his new live program "Life is not a playground!" Bastian Bielendorfer looks back on his mature years with wistfulness, but even more humor and faces the tough challenges of his new, deflowered everyday life. A legendary appearance on Günther Jauch's "Who Wants to be a Millionaire", in which Bielendorfer's father, as a telephone joker, fulfilled all the clichés that so cling to the know-it-all pedagogues of this world in 30 seconds, heaved the teacher's child into the ranks of authors overnight and his ultra-witty first book of the same name straight to number one on the bestseller lists. At the latest since his innumerable lecture journeys through the republic the realization grew in Bielendorfer: I am not alone! Everywhere there are generations of fellow sufferers who also grew up under the rule of the red pen. And everywhere there are parents who despair of their offspring's amateurish attempts to finally grow up - at 30. But what about when school is really over? Then the true vocation awaits, the serious side of life. And Bastian Bielendorfer of all people knows: "Life is not a playground!" Somewhere between studies, a pseudo-independent existence and mother's phone calls, the madness of the present lurks for him - and it's no better than father's humiliating corrective terror. Hilariously, Bielendorfer tells of his life in Generation Nix, half-day internships at Poco Domäne, and lets us look behind the scenes of a parental home in which verbs are conjugated over lunch and questions are asked such as: "Is he really too stupid now, or simply not our son at all? And how did he get in here in the first place?". Bielendorfer takes his audience into the quirky world of a thirty-something for whom only a certificate of attendance has ever been enough and who now stands on the cliff to jump into life, where suddenly tax returns, dating agencies, moving boxes and hallway cleaning plans await him. Life just isn't a playground! Not just for teachers' kids, but for everyone who has ever gone to school, taken flight, been gone, had parents, hosted grandparents, been allowed to be a parent themselves, or wants to be a parent someday!
