The carnival days at the Germania apple wine bar in Frankfurt are no longer an insider tip, but have become something of a cult event for many. Here, Frankfurt's carnival is celebrated over four days, from Weiberfastnacht to Shrove Tuesday, in a rustic atmosphere with apple wine and medlars in a cosy space. A special highlight: every hour, the lights are dimmed at Germania and the moon is brightly illuminated. While all the guests sing the moon song "Guter Mond, Du gehst so stille" (Good moon, you go so quietly) together, the moon floats over the heads of the guests to the other side of the room. Probably one of the most emotional carnival moments in Frankfurt and a goose bump experience every year.
