A walk around the Bad Nauheim Christmas Market alone is not enough to take in everything.
Thuringian glass and wood art, window pictures and candle arches from the Erzgebirge, nativity scenes, pyramids and candlesticks made of wood are popular as gifts, but also very popular for Christmas decoration at home.
Not so classic, but often especially appreciated for that very reason, are handmade ceramic art, woodturning, pottery and decorations made of hay.
Hand-painted Christmas baubles are offered as well as handicrafts from Russia with their very own charm.
For refreshment in between, you can choose between raclette and crepes in various variations, sausage and potato soup, tarte flambée and potato pancakes, rye bread casserole and Moroccan lamb stew, oven-fresh pretzels and lard bread, "delicious pork with spices" and baked potatoes with trout cream, hot chestnuts and braised apple with nuts, classic bratwurst and pointed cabbage bratwurst, fish specialties and fresh mushrooms.
In addition, there will of course be mulled wine in various varieties, cider and hot apple cider, Feuerzangenbowle, wine and prosecco, as well as delicious children's punch for you smaller visitors.
