Cirque du Soleil is coming to Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 with a very special tent show! LUZIA takes you to the fairground on Ratsweg with visual surprises and breathtaking acrobatics in an imaginary, surreal Mexico, where an opulent world between dream and reality awaits the audience. Cirque du Soleil will present a breathtaking artistic round dance in Frankfurt from June 13 to July 16, 2023, which begins in a movie set, leads from the ocean to a smoky dance hall and on to a desert. LUZIA is a colorful tapestry of places, characters and sounds of Mexico that reflect the tradition and modernity of this country.
Poetically guided by light ('luz' in Spanish) and rain ('lluvia'), LUZIA tells of the fascinating encounters of a parachuted traveler. He encounters culture, nature and mythology of a dreamlike land with a mysterious menagerie of characters and figures. LUZIA enchants the viewer with the artful incorporation of water elements into the acrobatic performances - a first for a Cirque du Soleil marquee production.
