It all started in the most popular alternative and independent clubs in Germany: Batschkapp Frankfurt, Markthalle Hamburg, Huxleys Neue Welt Berlin, Tor 3 Düsseldorf were the first stations of an extraordinary career. The choice of locations made it clear right away: This is not about Schlager in the conventional sense, this is about Schlager reinterpreted. After a 5-year break, Dieter Thomas Kuhn & Band made a triumphant return in 2005 and have been thrilling audiences every year since with new outfits, new stage decorations, new songs, new CDs - and yet always remain true to themselves.
