This event is a must for all horse lovers and equestrian fans: The REITSPORTMESSE RHEIN-MAIN invites you to discover, shop and marvel again this year. From 30 August to 01 September 2019, the Hessenhallen in Gießen will open its doors for the second time for all riders and horse lovers. The return to Gießen was quickly decided after the successful debut at the new location: After all, the exhibition grounds are ideally suited for an equestrian fair. In addition, the region showed great interest in the topic of horses at the last fair and the exhibitors were more than satisfied with the number of visitors. And so, in the summer of 2019, 200 exhibitors are once again looking forward to many interested visitors at the REITSPORTMESSE RHEIN-MAIN 2019. In accordance with the motto: "Standing still is falling behind", there will be a few small changes again this year to further improve the event. For example, an expansion of the gastro area as well as more seating on the outdoor area are planned.

The highlights in 2019
This year's highlights of the Rhine-Main Equestrian Fair have it all and promise to provide unforgettable moments! In addition to well-known and top-class riders from the various branches of equestrian sport, an exciting competition and the already well-known Equestrian Fair Forum, there will also be a dedicated Horse Health Forum.
- Uta Gräf and Stefan Schneider presented by equiXTREME equiXTREME, the manufacturer of high-quality care products and exhibitor at the Rhein-Main Equestrian Sports Fair, is bringing the well-known dressage rider Uta Gräf and her no less well-known partner and working equitation rider Stefan Schneider to Giessen! Both stand for a horse-fair handling during the training as well as an animal-fair attitude of horses and unite this in their riding successes. At the fair they will combine their two riding styles and present their training philosophies. "Dressage meets Working Equitation" is the idea behind it, to create bridges between riding styles and to clear up prejudices.
- Bernd Hackl With his likeable, Bavarian dialect, Bernd Hackl brings the basic idea of horsemanship to riders and horses of all riding styles and ages. Through the VOX show "Die Pferdeprofis" he should be known to every rider by now. With his maxim "As much as necessary, as little as possible" Bernd Hackl has dedicated himself to the training of young horses as well as the correction of "problem horses" and inspires thousands of visitors on his tour this year "Warpath for All" throughout Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
- Peter Kreinberg Another celebrity from the equestrian scene is Peter Kreinberg, founder of the method "The Gentle Touch®", at the Reitsportmesse Rhein-Main 2019. Whether from the ground or from the saddle, Peter Kreinberg shows how harmony and ease can look like. Himself mostly on the road in the western saddle, his successful method is aimed at all riders and horse lovers across all riding styles. At the Reitsportmesse Rhein-Main, visitors can gain an insight into the work of Peter Kreinberg as well as his method.
- Jump&Run Competition for Riding Clubs At the inaugural Jump&Run Competition on Saturday, August 31. August at 2:30 pm, six riding clubs will compete against each other in a small course. Each club has to complete a course in the saddle, a course on foot with a wheelbarrow and a course with a hobby horse. The fastest club wins! The competition will be hosted by Influencer Annica Hansen. Interested riding clubs can apply to participate, then by lottery six of them will be selected for the Jump&Run competition. - Equestrian Show Forum 2.0 This year's Equestrian Show Forum will not only feature expert presentations on a variety of equine topics, it will also offer interactive workshops in which visitors will be actively involved. In addition, visitors will be able to ask questions in panel discussions with experts from the equestrian scene and benefit from the speakers' wealth of knowledge and experience. The preliminary program of the equestrian fair forum will be published in August on the homepage of the REITSPORTMESSE RHEIN-MAIN and posted directly at the forum on a daily basis.
- Horse Health Forum Visitors to REITSPORTMESSE RHEIN-MAIN can find concentrated expertise on all aspects of horse health in the Horse Health Forum. Here, representatives of the German Veterinary Medical Association (DVG), the Equine Clinic of the Justus Liebig University in Gießen as well as the International Society for the Functional Improvement of Equine Teeth (IGFP) will be available with exciting specialist lectures as well as for questions. The programme will also be published on the REITSPORTMESSE RHEIN-MAIN homepage in August.
- Veterinarians Congress On Saturday, 31 August, a lecture programme for veterinarians will take place parallel to REITSPORTMESSE RHEIN-MAIN on the exhibition grounds. The organiser is the German Veterinary Medical Society in cooperation with the Clinic for Horses at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen. The main focus of the event will be on the perennially topical subject of "colic". Renowned speakers will present the latest results and practices and invite participants to discuss cases. To the veterinary congress all veterinarians are welcome, they can register at www.dvg.de.
- Hufdorf der Lehrschmiede der Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen Interested visitors can learn about the various hoof fittings as well as the anatomy of the horse's leg at the Hufdorf der Lehrschmiede der Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen. Live demonstrations will show the farrier's craft and provide an insight into the forging of horseshoes. Exciting specialist lectures round off the range on offer at the Hoof Village.
- Horse Couture - equestrian fashion on the catwalk The "Horse Couture" fashion show on Sunday, September 1 at 1.00 pm represents another premiere. Here, the latest and most current collections in the field of equestrian fashion will be presented by the participating exhibitors. What innovations are there and what are the trends for the current and coming season? All this can be seen at the fashion show at the REITSPORTMESSE RHEIN-MAIN 2019 in Gießen!
- Children's programme Also this year, the youngsters should not miss out: For all little riders and horse lovers, Team Pony Concept will again offer great craft ideas, games and hands-on activities! All children are cordially invited to visit the Team Pony Concept stand. Parents can also find out here about the extensive range of services offered by the many Team Pony schools from the region.
