Generations have come and gone. The Haaner Kerb has remained. For 299 years now and actually many centuries more. Some customs went under. Others have become tradition over the centuries and decades. The Haaner Kerb is the largest church festival in southern Hesse and the most traditional festival in the Rhine-Main area. Annually approx. 80,000 visitors come, of it alone 20,000 on Pentecost Saturday to the height fireworks with castle lighting. The Haaner Kerb is the successful combination from the care of centuries-old traditions in connection with the romantic old part of town and the old-venerable castle ruin in Dreieich - Dreieichenhain. And there is one more thing: the convenient location on the Whitsun weekend. Don't miss the vintage meeting on Monday. Hundreds of Kerbborsche in a torchlight procession march through the old town towards the festival tent and the flags move rhythmically to the thundering Kerb songs. Many a visitor will wonder if such an atmospheric event can be surpassed anywhere else in the republic. Text source and further information about this event and the program: http://www.haanerkerb.de
