This year's motto for the Höchst Castle Festival is: "Höchst goes crazy"
It starts on 4 July with the harbour festival, followed by the club festival on the weekend of 5 and 6 July.
Sitting in a cosy pub on an idyllic castle square surrounded by picturesque half-timbered houses and enjoying the view of an enchanting castle complex with a glass of apple wine – isn't that wonderful? No problem, because that's exactly what the Höchster Schlossplatz offers in the old town of Frankfurt's famous industrial district, which was almost completely spared during the Second World War. The castle, which became the property of the German Foundation for Monument Protection following a ceremonial handover on 8 March 2002, provides the perfect backdrop for the Höchster Schlossfest, which for over 60 years has transformed the old town of Höchst into a venue for a wide variety of cultural and civic events for four weeks.
The Höchst Castle Festival consists of various components: the Old Town Festival, a small amusement park and many other individual events or series of events. The Castle Festival has undergone significant changes since 2023. For one thing, the large amusement park on the Main no longer exists, but only a small fair below Brüningpark. The fireworks display also no longer takes place.
