SUPERNOVA - A journey to the stars
The new HOLIDAY ON ICE production SUPERNOVA takes the audience on a fantastic journey from Earth to a distant galaxy. An energetic show with visually stunning settings and effective wow moments.
The story begins in the vortex of a blizzard that miraculously carries the protagonists from an icy, snowy world into the cosmos. In space, they begin a unique journey through the unknown: to the most diverse peoples and places. Finally, they arrive back on Earth - through a colorful, exhilarating, spraying galactic explosion, a supernova - and celebrate an unforgettable finale in a sea of northern lights.
SUPERNOVA is staged by some of the world's best creatives: creative director and choreographer is Olympic figure skating champion Robin Cousins, who was creative director of the hit show ATLANTIS, the set design is created by STUFISH Entertainment Architects and the spectacular costume world is created by Stefano Canulli. The internationally renowned designer draws on his years of experience in costume design for top-class shows such as "Vivid" and "The Wyld" from the Friedrichstadtpalast, the Cirque du Soleil shows "Zumanity", "Love" and "Viva Elvis" as well as collaborations with legendary fashion designers such as Mugler and Valentino. He is now taking on the challenge of creating creations that have to withstand the peculiarities of an ice stage for the first time at HOLIDAY ON ICE.
Time for ice: It's time for Sarah Lombardi to take to the show stage at HOLIDAY ON ICE this coming winter. With her engagement on the Sat.1 TV show "Dancing on Ice", the multi-talent discovered her love for figure skating and danced her way with great passion on the ice to victory and into the hearts of an audience of millions. Since her childhood, Sarah Lombardi has been following the performances of the world's most successful ice show as a guest. From November to March, she will now enter the big HOLIDAY ON ICE stage herself and will be on the ice in ten tour cities for one show each at the SUPERNOVA and SHOWTIME productions.
