The Castle Festival is one of the largest festivals in the region and takes place every year at the castle ruins in Königstein. The focus of this unique festival is the large outdoor stage and a wide range of food and drinks offered by the festival host on the spacious festival grounds, as well as the cellars hosted by various participants. With the diverse offerings of the cellar hosts and the varied stage programme on the festival grounds, there is something for every visitor, young and old alike. On Friday evening at 10:30 p.m., the festival opens with a large fireworks display. On Sunday, the Königstein Castle Festival is rounded off with a large parade through Königstein town centre to the castle. There, a special programme awaits younger visitors, supported by many local clubs, initiatives and cellar operators.
