At last, it's NIGHT OF THE PROMS in Frankfurt again! The popular concert series, which mixes classical music with pop, makes a guest appearance on two evenings with top-class artists in the Festhalle Frankfurt.After the tour had to be postponed twice due to the pandemic, Night of the Proms 2022 will be able to take place as planned and presents with this year's artists a program with a pronounced hit density. In addition to Kool & The Gang, Amy Macdonald, Nik Kershaw, Carol Decker of T'Pau, Matt Simons and Yolanda Brown will be there as a classical soloist. Accompanying the stars on their greatest hits will be the Antwerp Philharmonic Orchestra and the Fine Fleur Choir, led by conductor Alexandra Arrieche.
The Night of the Proms is a unique music event in Europe. Since 1994, the show has thrilled a steadily growing fan base in Germany. Here, classical meets pop, aria meets chart hit, suit meets leather jacket, stilettos meet Chucks and Tchaikovsky meets Boy George. It merges, in equal parts, two styles long considered incompatible: E- and U-Music. A large symphony orchestra complete with choir plays the classical hits and, together with a rock band, also accompanies the pop star guests.
