Klaus Dreier from the Laubacher Figurentheater tells us a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm: Kater always has the best ideas. But first he needs his two red boots. Now he is capable of hope, can get the king his favourite food, dress his master royally and finally get him a castle - after outwitting the previous owner. The player Klaus Dreier actually comes from music. He studied piano in Frankfurt and Zurich and has been a member of the Mutare Ensemble since 1985. His affinity for scenic playing has often led him to conceive concerts with special programmatic aspects. He has created various productions in the field of music theatre (Satie, Schumann's Kinderszenen, Crossfade). Klaus Dreier is a lecturer at the Musikhochschule Frankfurt and at Dr. Hoch's Conservatory. His love of puppet theatre led to the founding of the Laubacher Figurentheater in 2005. In doing so, he is attracted by both the cultivation but also the expansion of the classical puppet theatre form. Thus productions with different emphases arose from the simple clear Kaspertheater over the poetic-musical figure play up to the musical Variete for adults. His plays live thereby beside the affectionately arranged figures of the particularly composed or improvised music, the live singing and the inclusion of the public.
