With a cheeky fun DIE KOMÖDIE brings again good humor into this theater spring. Folke Braband wrote the play and also directs. On stage are Saskia Valencia, Carolin Freund, Giovanni Arvaneh and Pascal Simon Grote. And that's what the play is about:
A family visit has arrived at the successful single woman Sarah. Her father, who lives in the Caribbean with his fourth wife, wants to meet Sarah's fiancé. Only there is no fiancé. At the agency RENT A FRIEND, whose business model is based on the renting of "family members" in all situations, Sarah hires a "fiancé" without further ado, who is supposed to meet Big Daddy's high expectations. Instead of the booked George Clooney double, however, Marc, a much too young man in skater look, is standing in front of the door. Too late to correct the mix-up. Marc improvises and lies for all he's worth. But what about the truthfulness of the guests? Is Daddy really as big as he pretends to be? And is his alleged fourth wife Juanita really a former Caribbean beauty queen? Who is playing what role. With whom? And - why?
