Rheingau winegrowers present fine wines on Frankfurt's "Flaniermeile" Freßgass'. Over 600 wines and sparkling wines from the Rheingau can be tasted at numerous winegrowers' stands. The selection ranges from the finest wines to light and sparkling summer wines, and in addition to Riesling, which dominates the Rheingau, wines made from alternative grape varieties are also served.
Traditionally, the wine and sparkling wine selection is complemented by food stalls run by the Freßgass' residents. These offer traditional and international snacks. The selection includes Leberkäse, pork knuckle and bratwurst, as well as spare ribs, Thai, Chinese and Italian specialities and tarte flambée.
