Ball des Sports – Night Session
On 21 February 2026, Frankfurt will once again become the stage for top-class German sport. The Festhalle will host the 55th edition of the Ball des Sports – long Europe's largest charity event in sport. New this year: the "Night Session", which will celebrate its premiere at 9.30 p.m.
Organised by Sporthilfe, the ball has been a fixture on the social calendar since 1970. What began as a festive evening has developed into a showcase for German sport – with a reach far beyond the country's borders. Now the Festhalle is opening its doors to an additional format that will add another dimension to the evening.
The "Night Session" brings together Germany's elite from the worlds of sport, business, politics and society. The most successful athletes of the year will be honoured, and the programme invites guests not only to appreciate top-class sport, but also to experience it. Activity stations, live sport and encounters with prominent guests will characterise the night.
Admission (490 euros) includes a voluntary donation of 150 euros per person – a contribution that directly benefits athlete development. Guests can look forward to a festive red carpet reception, access to lounges and experience areas, culinary delights of the highest standard and drinks throughout the evening. The raffle remains a traditional highlight: once again, the main prize is a Mercedes-Benz worth more than €100,000.
Black tie is required – tuxedos or evening gowns are preferred.
