The Frankfurt Dippemess, which takes place in spring and autumn on the fairgrounds on Ratsweg in front of the ice rink, is with about 2 million visitors (spring and autumn together) the largest folk festival in the Rhine-Main area.
The Dippemess will open again this year on Fridays with the traditional beer barrel tapping.
At the folk festival, the eponymous "Dippe" are still offered (but only at two booths), but primarily attracts the folk festival with over 130 carnies and merchants, as well as catering stands and summer gardens.
Absolute crowd pullers every year are the many rides and amusement rides. Special offers such as a family day with half-price rides and events round off the festival in an entertaining way.
On the final day, the Dippemess ends with a colourful fireworks display.
