As in the fall of 2020, this summer is meant to give local showmen and women a little glimmer of hope and everyone some funfair culture. Until the beginning of September, Mon - Sat from around 12 noon (start times may vary depending on what is on offer and the location), local showmen and women will be attracting visitors to the city centre with food stands, stalls and merry-go-rounds. On Friday, 9 July, Mayor Feldmann and the chairman of the showmen's association, Thomas Roie, jointly gave the starting signal for this mini-folk festival on six squares in the city centre. From 16 July, the Walther-von-Cronberg-Platz will be added. There will then always be a trampoline on the weekends (from Friday to Sunday).
What awaits visitors at "Summer in the City"
- Kaiserplatz: Ice cream stand, almond stand
- Roßmarkt: Large gastro stall, including bratwurst and kidney spit
- Freßgass: Wine stall with seating around the fountain
- Liebfrauenberg: children's carousel (from 12. July)
- Opernplatz: stalls (a. o. Belgian fries, crêpes)
- Northern Mainufer: Children's carousel, almond stand, can toss
- Walther-von-Cronberg-Platz: trampoline (from 16. July, Fridays to Sundays)
