In 2022, the theater festival on the river will once again take place without admission controls. In its 21st year, the Sommerwerft is proof that what sometimes begins as a small cultural experiment can quickly establish itself as a permanent fixture in the cultural scene of the Main metropolis. In 2022, visitors will once again be offered an eclectic mix of theater performances, performances, live music, children's theater and many other attractions.

The various events of the festival will take place until 07 August on the eastern bank of the Main on the grounds of the Wesel shipyard. Colorful, creative, entertaining, idiosyncratic, challenging, playful - all this is the festival put on its feet with a lot of heart and soul. The SOMMERWERFT is an important part of Frankfurt's cultural scene and should therefore be supported in any case not only with a visit, but also with a donation, so that it can continue in 2023.
