"Songs for Eternity"
In Coop. with the Jewish Community Frankfurt
As part of the W-Festival 2018 and an exclusive special event in cooperation with the Jewish Community Frankfurt, the German world star Ute Lemper will perform on Thursday, 03. May 2018 / Beginning 8:00 pm in the Festsaal of the Ignatz Bubis - Gemeindezentrum, the heart of the Frankfurt Jewish Community, and present "Songs for Eternity".
The music, songs and lyrics, created during the Second World War (whose end, by the way, is on 8. May), often under unbearable circumstances in e.g. ghettos and concentration camps, nevertheless offer the greatest possible expression of hope, of survival, revolt and comfort, faith, humanity, even beauty. UTE LEMPER is accompanied here by her new formidable quintet, which expressively stages the songs and tunes with bandoneon, clarinet, violin, piano, bass.
