The Eltville Tourist Office invites you to visit the last great Rheingau folk festival. The Kappeskerb was mentioned in a document as early as 1654, making it one of the oldest folk festivals in the region. In addition to the wine village on the station forecourt and a huge carnival at the parking lot in the Weinhohle, there is traditionally an arts and crafts market in the Electoral Castle. The highlight is the autumn closing parade of the winegrowers.
Saturday parade
The parade of the Eltville winegrowers at the end of the festival is an inseparable part of the Kappeskerb. In a long procession of tractors and machines, the wineries, their employees and the wine majesties parade through the entire town center accompanied by music. The procession ends in the wine village.
