- 3 eggs
.- 250 grams sugar
- 250 grams slivered almonds
- 1 lemon zest (unsprayed and grated)
- 30 grams candied lemon
- 1 pinch cinnamon powder
- 1 pinch clove powder
- 185 - 200 grams flour
Preparation:
First, place the almond slivers on a baking tray lined with baking paper and now toast them in the oven until the slivers have turned a golden yellow colour. Mix the eggs with the sugar and add the grated lemon zest, the candied lemon peel and some cinnamon and clove powder, followed by the almond slivers and the flour. Now knead the whole thing until you get a firm dough. Form two long breads out of this dough and bake them in a preheated oven (also on a baking tray lined with baking paper) at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes. Let cool a little and then, while the breads are still warm, cut them open. Enjoy!
