Frankfurt and electronic music - they simply belong together. After all, the Main metropolis is considered the birthplace of techno and many pioneers of electronic music grew up here. In 2021, the world's first museum was even dedicated to this extremely versatile style of music with the MOMEM - Museum of Modern Electronic Music. The importance of Frankfurt for the scene has been evident for several years now, always in the summer, when the grounds of the Waldstadion are transformed into the biggest club in the world.
The BigCityBeats team led by initiator Bernd Breiter launched WORLD CLUB DOME in 2013. In the meantime, the event has become a globally respected music festival, which in 2022, after the Corona break, more than 180,000 visitors from 70 countries celebrated in Frankfurt. In recent years, the most successful DJs and biggest artists in electronic music have performed on the various festival stages spread across the 700,000-square-meter area. David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Robin Schulz, Hardwell or the Frankfurt Urgestein Sven Väth and many others have heated up here the fans strongly.
For the image of the city, the WORLD CLUB DOME has already brought a lot of positive, and that should not change in the future. That Breiter is good for big surprises and spectacular ideas, he has proven, for example, in 2018 with the first club in zero gravity.
For the anniversary, which will be celebrated from 09 - 11 June 2023, the festival site will be transformed into the enchanted island kingdom of Atlantis. The line-up is not yet fixed (as of 09/2022), but it can be assumed that again quite a few superstars will come to Frankfurt to offer the party-hungry audience a terrific party weekend.
