Hochheim Market 2024

The modern traditional market for the whole family

From November 8 to 12, the traditional Hochheim market invites you to one of the largest folk festivals in the Rhine-Main region for the 538th time! The whole region is eagerly awaiting this intergenerational event - a meeting place that brings together people of all ages from Hochheim and far beyond.

The offer, which attracts guests from all over the Rhine-Main region, is huge: the market, trade and vehicle exhibition, the many winegrowers' stands, exhibition tent, cattle market, amusement park with high-tech and family rides and also a large historical market section make the Hochheim market one of the most beautiful folk festivals in the region in 2024.

One of the highlights is the 55-metre-high Europa Ferris wheel, which is the highest transportable Ferris wheel with rotating and open gondolas and is located in the middle of the event area. From here you have a very special view of the festivities. It's especially beautiful in the evening! But the Ferris wheel is of course not the only attraction. A total of around 700 market traders will be represented on the 75,000 square meter event site over the five days of the event, including around 400 market traders, 70 food stalls, 60 wine, mulled wine, beer and other drinks stalls as well as an impressive number of fairground attractions. Over 120 other traders will be presenting gardening equipment for the home, health and fitness articles, household appliances and much more in a large exhibition tent and on the outdoor exhibition area. Visitors will find the Dippegass integrated into the outdoor area, where retailers will present a large selection of pottery, pans and various household supplies.

Adrenaline junkies will get their money's worth on the "Booster Maxxx Mega G4". The Booster Maxxx accelerates to over 100 km/h and exerts a force of 4G on its passengers when it rolls over. You have to dare to do that - but if you do, you'll get a thrill of a special kind! Also to be found in Hochheim is the "Black Hole" roller coaster - Europe's only family roller coaster in the dark - or Europe's highest transportable slide, the ultimate fun for the whole family. For those who prefer a more traditional experience, there are classics such as the bumper cars, music express, break dancer, tumblers or the wave flyer as well as a variety of other children's rides, family rides and amusement rides.

Eintracht Frankfurt on the Hochheim market

This year, the traditional Hessian club Eintracht Frankfurt will once again take part in the traditional Hochheim market from November 8 to 12, 2024 to present itself to the region. The large presentation stand will have everything the Eintracht heart desires in terms of fan merchandise. Visitors can also find out about the Junior Adler Kids Club and membership of Hessen's biggest sports club. If you still haven't had enough, you can take part in competitions or let off steam at the table football table. Autograph session with Eintracht legends Mainova AG - as a premium partner of Eintracht Frankfurt and also a long-standing partner and supporter of the Hochheim market - will be presenting an autograph session with two Eintracht Frankfurt brand ambassadors on the opening day at 6.00 pm. The autograph session will take place in the specially set up area for partners and supporters of the Hochheim Market in the center of the event.

Market Tuesday all about family

The Hochheim Market Tuesday is all about family. Sn the all-day family day take part in addition to the rides also many gastronomic, as well as confectionery stands. Throughout the day, there will be special offers for families. Visitors can see which stands are taking part by looking at the posters "Family Day - we're joining in". It is especially nice that families were also thought of at the big closing fireworks. Start is already at 19 o'clock. This allows then even small visitors to experience the great color splendor of the spectacle.

Animals at the Hochheim market: horse and cattle show, cattle market and pony rides

A special highlight are the animals, which take center stage on three of the five days of the event.

On Saturday, the Main-Taunus-Wiesbaden Horse Breeding Association invites you to the district horse show and impressive horse demonstrations. Sunday is all about the Galloway cattle show, organized by the town of Hochheim and the Federal Association of German Galloway Breeders. This show, which starts at 10.00 am, is considered the largest of its kind in Germany.

On Monday, the traditional cattle market opens at 7.00 am. Here you will find the full spectrum of animal diversity: cattle, horses, sheep and much more. In addition to the animals, visitors can also expect a wide range of riding and pet accessories as well as pet food. The Office for Rural Areas and Agriculture from Bad Homburg will also be on site to provide information about sustainable seed mixtures and insect protection.

For the little ones, there will be the opportunity to ride ponies every day. Particularly worth mentioning: After 30 years at the Hochheim market, the Bügler showman family will be saying goodbye to their popular pony riding offer on the quiet area at Käsbachtal.

To make it easy to get to the cattle market area, the "Mainova-Viehmarkt-Express" shuttles between the event areas on all market days.

Horse and Galloway shows start at 9:30 a.m.

The "animal offer" is completed with the big cattle market on Market Monday. The animals will be mooing, neighing, bleating and clucking from 7:00 a.m.

Special highlight for children: On all three days there will be the opportunity to ride Shetland ponies or just lead them. The area at Käsbachtal offers ideal conditions for this. There will also be the animal exhibition "Animals from the Countryside", which will offer all visitors young and old the opportunity to see the animals up close and learn a little about them from the display boards.

"Mainova-Viehmarkt-Express" goes to Viehmarkt

Also this year, between the Hochheim market area and the so-called Käsbachwiesen, a Bimmelbahn used by the organizers will run and bring visitors to the various events of the Viehmarktgelände.

On all three days, the horse show on market Saturday, the large young animal Gallowayschau on market Sunday and to the livestock market on market Monday - the train will shuttle from two stops (Königberger Ring/Danziger Allee and Königberger Ring/Am Weiher) regularly and free of charge between livestock market and market grounds.

During the journey, passengers will again learn all kinds of interesting information about the town of Hochheim am Main, the Hochheim market and its cattle market events. The train will therefore not only make the short journey to the event site easier, but will also provide passengers with interesting facts about Hochheim and offer a little respite from the "stress of shopping".
