The term feminism is always opposed by the term patriarchy. Don Juan, however, shears off and outrages both. If there were the invention of masculinism, this would be the text and the body to it. A celebration of the beauty of men.
And of course of women.
As a completely politically incorrect act on stage.
You may be as terrified as of a Tyrannosaurus Rex in the flesh in Jurassic Park, but you're bidding top dollar for a ticket to possibly get eaten.
Freely the beautiful monster is blown to hell at the end.
What then? Does one miss it? Molière's Don Juan is a mock comedy between heaven and hell. Don Juan challenges not only men, but God as well. He is no mere seducer; for him, love must be sacrilege. He wants God as a rival, otherwise, like the Marquis de Sade, all pleasure would seem stale and torturous - boring. Don Juan's greatness lies in the fact that he does not surrender until the end.
