"Presentimento" is a tribute to Neapolitan songs and traditions, a point of departure on a journey unlimited by time or space where well known pieces alternate with other less familiar and sometime forgotten but no less deserving melodies. The meeting of these artists has resulted in a unique product: a brand new record which conflates the depth of Peppe Servillo's art form and the magisterial vision of Solis' arches. Through this elegant yet accessible reading of traditional repertoires, Naples emerges as entirely deserving to be recognised as having been and being still not an imitation but an authentic European capital of culture. Peppe Servillo: voice
Vincenzo Di Donna: violin
Luigi De Maio: violin
Gerardo Morrone: viola
Antonio Di Francia: cello and guitar

Solis String Quartet
The Solis String Quartet is made up of four Neapolitan composers and arrangers: Vincenzo Di Donna (Violin), Gerardo Morrone (Viola), Luigi De Maio (Violin) Antonio Di Francia (Cello).

Since its debut in 1991, the quartet's repertoire has encompassed jazz, world music, pop and contemporary music. This has led them to collaborate with famous names on the international scene as Dulce Pontes, Andreas Vollenweider, Pat Metheney, Richard Galliano, Jimmy Cliff, Maria Joao, Omar Sosa, Hevia and Noa: with Noa they toured Europe and recorded a double album and DVD as "Noa & Solis" entitled "LIVE in ISRAEL."

Among the highlights, "Pavarotti & Friends" 1996, in the company of Edoardo Bennato, and two participations in the Sanremo Musical Festival, with Elisa in the 2001 and with Noa and Carlo Fava in 2006.
In Sanremo, the quartet also performed with Marco Mengoni in 2010 and with Eugene Kelly in 2012.

The Solis String Quartet has collaborated with the Italian star Gianna Nannini on the 2004 tour, and with the Negramaro band on the album "La finestra" and the May 2008 concert event at the San Siro stadium in front of more than 50,000 people.

Peppe Servillo
Peppe Servillo makes his debut as a singer in 1980 with the Avion Travel band with whom he cooperates on more than 12 albums winning many awards along the way among which first prize overall and jury prize for quality of music and arrangement at the Sanremo Musical Festival in 2000. Over the years he takes part in numerous other projects along with artists such as Nicola Piovani, Arto Lindsay, Pino Daniele, Ennio Morricone, Noa, Elisa, Paolo Conte, Gianna Nannini, Stefano Bollani, Misia, Javier Girotto, Renato Zero, Daniel Ezralow, Solis String Quartet, Paolo Fresu, ... touring the U.S. and Europe extensively. He has composed songs for Andrea Bocelli, Patty Pravo, Fiorella Mannoia, Lucio Dalla ... and soundtracks for directors such as Paolo Sorrentino, Sergio Castellitto, Daniele Luchetti, Manetti Bros ... He also starred as an actor in films by Lina Wertmuller, Wilma Labate, Paola Randi, John Turturro, Fabrizio Bentivoglio, Mimmo Calopresti, and on the stage with his brother Toni Servillo with whom, in 2013 he toured Italy and Europe performing the Eduardo De Filippo play "Le voci di dentro". From Jazz to Argentinian music, from Italian folk to Igor Stravinsky, from pop to poetry, Peppe Servillo is perhaps one of the most complete and eclectic artists on the Italian scene. A curious and omnivorous artist who charms and seduces with his voice and is always ready, through mimicry and movement, to make the most of a phrase, a tune, a thought.
