Have you counted how many festivals Frankfurt celebrates in summer? No? Me neither. But felt this summer quite a lot. Probably because I was sitting at the Main last week and listened to the orchestra of the Hessischer Rundfunk in a dreamlike scenery. By the way, a friend had discovered the idea here on Frankfurt Tipp :-)
"Ahs" and "Ohs" resounded from the audience but not only because of the sound performance worth hearing, but also every time when the TV camera rushed over the audience to then impress with Main and skyline on the big screen. So while there was still singing and fiddling going on that evening, eager helpers were already setting up the booths for the Mainuferfest. No sooner was I home than imaginative fellow human beings in Bornheim enticed me to spend the days collecting for a good cause over cider, Bembel and comedy. On the way there, I'm sure I'll trundle over to the neighborhood festival one street over, get stuck there because the hosts bribe you with homemade cakes :-)
FESTIVAL DAY AND NIGHT
So this weekend and next weekend alone, I could turn night into day. Not that I'm trying to be a buzzkill here today. Quite the opposite. I think it's great that during the holiday season, the rest of the town gets neat and tidy. Now it's the end of August, summer is just saying goodbye, driving everyone out of doors once again - so the Kunsthalle Schirn thinks: everyone likes to hang out in the summer. Why don't we invite you to a "Summer Hangout" on the steps of the Schirn? Public guided tour, relaxed atmosphere with live music, snacks and drinks.
Some people are even celebrating the late summer: On September 1, Atelier Frankfurt invites you to the Spätsommer Fest, but at the same time I could have a drink in the bar in the park to celebrate *swoosh* the Brückenwall-Fest on Sunday, September 2, which I really can't miss. Zack- already leisure stress. However, I once heard it said that really important people never stay at a party in the evening anyway. At the Oscars in America, for example, the stars and starlets hop from one party to the next. Well, that's more about "seeing and being seen." But who of you doesn't take a look at who's there when sipping a Bembel in a beer garden somewhere? Speaking of looking: Weatherproofs are already looking forward to the open-air cinema at the Liebighaus Sculpture Museum on September 7. September remains culturally entertaining, as a "pre-glow", so to speak, for the Book Fair in October. (The guest country is France, by the way) All friends of the morbid are invited by the fashion boutique "Apfelgrün - zum Anziehen! to a crime reading on September 14.
