Namaste Nepal: Nepali Chulho - The first Nepali restaurant in Frankfurt

Namaste! In Frankfurt, there is, after all, culinarily not much that is not already there. And when something new enriches the restaurant landscape, which was not there before, the joy about it is especially great! And so it was on the evening of the Bahnhofsviertel night, when the first Nepalese restaurant in Frankfurt celebrated its reopening: Nepali Chulho.

On the ground floor of the beautiful Metro Boutique Hotel (Hotel Villa Oriental) in Baseler Straße hides a world of Far Eastern delicacies that you have not yet been able to taste in Frankfurt. The restaurant is only a few steps away from Frankfurt's main train station - and it's worth the walk. On the menu is, among other things, the Napali plate, for many THE national dish of Nepal. The basis of the speciality consists of a fluffy basmati rice, a traditionally spiced lentil sauce and natural yoghurt. Depending on the season, vegetables, spicy, sour or hot sauces and sometimes meat round out the dish. The chef at Nepali Chulho prepares a special Ayurvedic chutney for the thalis, which harmoniously combines and rounds off the various flavour components. Vegetarians and vegans in particular are sure to quickly take a liking to Nepali cuisine. Whether it's vegetables refined with Himalayan spices and fried in soybean oil, spinach with soy balls in tomato curry sauce with almonds or traditional Nepalese salads: the choice is huge. By the way, the Mo:Mo dumplings are also highly recommended!

What is just as convincing as the food is the ambience. In contrast to the hectic city hustle and bustle, an oasis of calm awaits you here. The walls paneled with dark wood create a feel-good atmosphere that makes you quickly forget the world outside. The backyard of the restaurant and hotel is also something very special. It really exudes holiday flair. Under the huge palm plants, it is wonderful here on warm summer evenings or at noon for lunch: (a tip for lovers) very romantic!
