Five good reasons to give flowers right now

Five good reasons to give flowers right now
Five good reasons to give flowers right now
Five good reasons to give flowers right now

The slogan "Let flowers speak" is probably known by many. Probably even so well that we just roll our eyes in annoyance. But stop! Gaaaaay wrong. Not only because of the spring feelings, which the sun triggers, I am today times flowery on the way. The gentlemen of creation are also most cordially invited to read along on this power topic: who has the most resounding success in gift-giving, finds the most beautiful shop the fastest, well? Exactly! Flowers are a powerhouse: after all, it's figuratively "Happy wife, happy life". I hope to have motivated everyone to read on with these pertinent hints, so that we can now get down to the nitty-gritty:

Nobody has to let their hair down like a damsel of the castle these days, and hope for gifts of flowers. Self is the woman (or simply the man). And Frankfurt has a lot to offer, besides the tulips in the supermarket, which can undoubtedly have their charms.

Speaking of tulips: here we can again blame the Dutch and their bulbs. I once walked "In Holland's Footsteps in Frankfurt" through the city and learned the most exciting facts. Above all, I couldn't get the onion thing out of my head: that in Frankfurt in the 17th century, onions were traded on the stock exchange for a horrendous price. The famous daughter of Frankfurt, Maria Sybilla Merian, preferred to paint the flower stars of the time: tulips. She had learned from her stepfather, Jacob Marrell, THE tulip painter par excellence. Clever as he was, he sold -flowers. To get the bulb to the buyer, he busily painted tulips for the sales catalogues.

Which is to say, it doesn't always have to be a bombastic bouquet, a small gesture really works wonders. For yourself or someone else! By the way: Mother's Day or wedding goes of course also :-)

And now we are already at the five good reasons:

· Makes joy

· Who does not like to give joy to others?

· Small gesture, huge impact

· Flower arrangements are now almost art

· Kitsch is cool

Because Frankfurt has so many beautiful flower shops, here are my three favorite ones:

Blütentraum, Berger Straße 69

La Vie en Fleur, Glauburgstraße 20

Who likes to give flowers or not? And which shops can you recommend?
