We fly into May: the ideal trip tip for everyone

Flyers greet me the sun. By May at the latest, we're longing for the great outdoors. And even though May is rather calendrical at the moment, we've never really been impressed by the weather. Because our longing for nature fulfils Frankfurt in abundance! Surely the ideal excursion tip looks different for everyone. For me, it has to include the following: a short drive, hiking trails that are often accompanied by water, a pinch of adventure and a nice place to stop for a bite to eat. If then also still children come at their expense - heart, what do you want more?

Where there is then such a thing, may call perhaps the one or the other now. In Bonames (always remember to emphasize the last syllable, right ;-) ) of course. Bonames? Only the Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann lives there, but otherwise? Yes, otherwise the district enchants with its "<link http: tower-cafe.de _blank>Alter Flugplatz".

Located in Frankfurt's green belt, the Alte Flugplatz is a former American military airfield used until 1992 (adventure for young and old!). Nice detail: 750 meters of runway are completely preserved (ideal for cycling and skating!), framed by a long grove of trees and a large lawn. Adventure two: The helicopter parking areas. Pure nature: The Nidda is bridged by the Robert-Gernhardt-Bridge, all too well known to literature lovers as a member of the New Frankfurt School. But that is by no means all there is to discover: Floodplains, ponds, amphibians and other creatures cavort in the greenery. The best thing is to experience it for yourself!

Who likes to experience the old airfield? Has anyone been there and what do you like best? What else do you like to do in May?
