Long Oscar® Night at the German Film Museum

Long Oscar® Night at the German Film Museum

On Sunday, March 2

Start of the program at 11 pm; TV broadcast: approx. 1:30 a.m.

GRAVITY, 12 YEARS A SLAVE, AMERICAN HUSTLE, CAPTAIN PHILLIPS - who will make the cut at this year's "Oscars®"? For the second time, the audience can join in the excitement at the award ceremony of Hollywood's most important film prize on Sunday, March 2, at the Deutsches Filmmuseum. From Friday, February 28, to Sunday, March 2, the cinema of the Deutsches Filmmuseum will be showing nominated films from the Best Film category. From Sunday, March 2, to Monday, March 3, the museum will be open all night (from 11 p.m.) - before the live broadcast of the glamorous show starts, a varied program will get you in the mood for Oscar® Night: Oscar® tours through the permanent exhibition, for example, invite you to explore costume designs, scripts and props from Oscar-winning masterpieces and award-winning filmmakers. In the big Oscar® betting game, participants can take part in all 24 categories and win a Lufthansa flight for two to Los Angeles. Support is provided by Oscar® expert Michael Kinzer, who will present his predictions in the "Oscar® Oracle". In the Bluebox on the 4th floor, visitors can have their picture taken in Oscar-winning films or beam themselves onto the Los Angeles red carpet alongside the stars. You're welcome to wear a "red carpet outfit", which the Glamour Look Academy rounds off with professional make-up and Oscar-worthy hairstyling. And after the photo, it's best to go to the Oscar® Bar on the ground floor for a cocktail in your new look. There, DJ Antje-Maya Hirsch (radio x - Music for Films) plays popular film hits and soundtracks, and the film café offers drinks and snacks until the early hours of the morning. The free breakfast buffet from the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof will motivate you to keep going from 3 a.m. onwards.

Tickets at 18,-€ / 15,-€ (reduced) are available from Wednesday, 29 January, at the Deutsches Filmmuseum as well as at all known advance booking offices* and online at the ADticket-Shop*. (*plus advance booking fees)
