The Family Day offers you the opportunity to inform yourself about the Hessian-wide offer for families and new ways in family policy. You can talk directly with family politicians, get to know actors from the regional and supra-regional practical family work, make new contacts and networks and enjoy the colorful entertainment program for the whole family.
The stands on the family day area will be arranged thematically; so there will be, among other things. a "Street of Social Networks", a "Street of Health", the "Square of Churches" as well as the "Square of Universality" with offers on education and care.
In the Schlossgarten, under the heading "Counselling, Meeting and Movement", there will be several large-scale offerings, including a counselling landscape of local institutions with a focus on marriage, family and life counselling. Sports clubs from the Fulda-Hünfeld sports district will offer a "Rhön-Familiade" in cooperation with the Hesse State Sports Federation and other associations.
The exercise trail for families, consisting of various stations, focuses on the fun and enjoyment of sports and aims to motivate people of all ages to exercise regularly.
On a total of four stages, a colorful program for young and old is offered, professionally moderated by well-known presenters from hr radio and television, among others. Children and the young at heart can look forward to children's songwriters and the mouse, who will present the popular "Lach- und Sachgeschichten" live on stage.
Music and dance groups of all styles, comedy, choirs and bands from local schools are further programme items.
Representatives from politics, associations, foundations and companies will discuss current family topics during short talk sessions.
Thus, there will be something for people from all generations and in all life situations. Sufficient places with seating for watching, marveling, picnicking as well as for resting or "letting the soul dangle" are provided, among other things in the castle garden.
