Three days program with live music, show dance, big adventure meadow and unique - the fool boat regatta
For more than a decade the Mombacher Rheinuferfest is one of the events in the district you should not miss. The festival is organised and carried out exclusively by helpers from committed Mombach clubs and institutions. They make up the loving charm and soul of the Rheinuferfest, which you miss at many other festivals with exclusively commercial exhibitors. Even the varied festival program is largely designed with impressive music, dance or sports contributions from the clubs.
For the foolish anniversary is quite in Rheinuferfestmanier a special highlight - the fool boat regatta. On Saturday afternoon, Mainz carnival clubs will start with crews of 20 paddlers each in a cheerful race. So far the "Bohneboot" (Bohnegard & Bohnebeitel), the "Gunsenummer Gondel" (GCV), the Maletenjolle (MBC Maletengarde), the "Ranzedampfer" (Mainzer Ranzengarde) and the "Draaser Schaluppe" (Draaser Lerchen) are at the starting line. Further associations can announce themselves gladly still. Also the large height fireworks will be ignited this year for the first time on Saturday evening and invites you to continue celebrating with live music.
On the family (Sunday) day your children are the focus. On the one hand on the stage, when the "Young Stars" (children and youth dance groups) show their skills and in front of the stage at the join-in concert with Oliver Mager and his children's songs. In addition, the adventure meadow has an extraordinary range of games and sports on offer on all three days with climbing rocks, aqua zorbing & Co.
To ensure that you can celebrate carefree, there is the Rheinufer Express - the free shuttle to the festival. This runs every half hour between the center of Mombach and the banks of the Rhine.
