One evening, four a cappella ensembles from classical to pop and lots of great voices: anders, Of Cabbages and Kings, unduzo as well as YeoMen!
The fact that good musicians don't need instruments is no secret anymore. A cappella is popular as never before, the pure voice true trump. Thus, more and more classic vocal bands are establishing themselves, delighting an ever-growing fan base.
In the case of Of Cabbages and Kings, this works in the form of an all-female troupe. Each musician is a distinct character and yet (or perhaps because of that?) all four harmonize together on the mic in a highly professional manner. UNDUZO rely on the combination of a deep male and a high female voice and construct a powerful whole out of it. The Berlin band YeoMen calls their style "extreme a-cappella". The fact that the guys don't run out of breath too quickly is proven not only by joint concerts with the rock band Die Ärzte and Herbert Grönemeyer: YeoMen also holds the world record for continuous a cappella techno singing! The five-piece band anders from Heidelberg has also had the pleasure of supporting well-known musicians such as Revolverheld and Thees Uhlmann. They combine modern arrangements with beatbox skills and choreographies in proven boy band style.
