A play based on the picture book of the same name by Marcus Sauermann and Uwe Heidschötter.
When his dad moved out, the little boy's parents turned into friendly but also very sad beasts. Since then, a lot of things have been different. Sometimes being a "beast" has its benefits, like when no one looks at how much chocolate they put on the conveyor belt at the supermarket anymore. And have you ever played football against a beast? Scoring goals is pretty easy with these opponents! It gets unpleasantly loud when beasts meet and get terribly angry. But sometimes Beasts also want to be comforted, tear up old photos and talk on the phone for hours with their girlfriends. The little one wonders when the parents will change back?
Always from the perspective of the child, The Little One and the Beast lovingly tells of sad, strange but also funny moments shortly after the separation of the parents. With music and humor, the story gives courage to master together also phases of "Verbiesterung", which every family knows.
