The wait is finally over. After two years of waiting, darts fans are looking forward to the 2nd GUDE® DARTS OPEN, which will take place on 04/16/2022 at the Ballsporthalle in Frankfurt. The terrific line-up promises again an exciting darts spectacle.
The fans will meet "old acquaintances": defending champion Mensur "The Gentle" Suljović and the finalist of 2019, Simon "The Wizard" Whitlock, will be part of the party. Also 16-time World Champion Phil "The Power" Taylor will step to the oche again in Frankfurt. Premiere in the Fraport Arena celebrates the "Queen of the Palace" Fallon Sherrock. So far she is the only woman who could win matches in a PDC World Championship. With Fabian "The Fabulous" Schmutzler one of the most promising young talents may not be missing. The Frankfurt Jung and local hero qualified as a 16-year-old last fall for the PDC Darts World Championship 2022.
"The 6th starting place will be occupied by one of two visitors to the event through a best-of-five match. It will also be played here after a double-out on the big stage in the ball sports hall.
Fans can therefore accordingly get ready for numerous exciting matches - in search of the successor to Mensur Suljović! The matches will be played in two groups of three players each. The mode is 501 and the player who reaches 0 points the fastest wins a leg. However, only if double-out is checked out. The first player to win a certain number of legs wins the game. The group matches are played in best-of-five. The semifinals best-of-seven, the final best-of-nine.
