Magical fairground dreams in Wiesbaden
For the second time, the Kulturpark am Schlachthof in Wiesbaden will be transformed into a magical world of carousel magic from August 23 to 25, 2024. The 2nd International Carousel Festival offers a wonderful opportunity to round off the summer vacations with a real highlight.
Families won't find an ordinary carnival here, but a festival of a special kind: with a total of nine carousels - including an impressive 14-metre-high multi-level carousel and flying carpets - there is something for everyone to discover. An authentic steam train invites you to take a nostalgic ride, while fascinating attractions from different countries, such as street theater from France, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland and Germany, will leave you in awe.
For younger visitors, there are a veritable firework display of activities: from giant soap bubbles to the funny Kaos clown to the colorful "Block World" and even a bicycle disco. Those who like things out of the ordinary should not miss the "cloud journeys" or the encounter with 20 escaped sliding animals. Magicians, magicians and observation towers make the experience extra special.
Flazy candy floss, crispy chips and many other culinary delights round off the offer.
A day ticket for all rides costs 10 euros per person, reduced tickets (with the Wiesbaden leisure card) cost just 5 euros. Admission to the festival site itself is free, so spontaneous visitors are also welcome and can enjoy the atmosphere.
The International Carousel Festival is a unique event in the German-speaking world, organized by SCHÖNE FERIEN and the Schlachthof Cultural Centre.
