Incredibly popular: Trumpet legend Ludwig Güttle

Leipzig Bach Collegium
Ludwig Güttler (conductor and trumpet)
with Karl-Heinz Passin (flute), Bernd Schober (oboe), Roland Straumer (violin), Michael Pfaender (cello), Slawomir Rozlach (double bass) and Friedrich Kircheis (harpsichord).

Concerti and sonatas by Gottfried Finger, Georg Philipp Telemann, Johann Sebastian Bach, Johann Joachim Quantz, Johann Christian Bach, Alessandro Poglietti, Antonio Vivaldi and Tomaso Albinoni.

It is because of the exquisite artistic quality, the wonderful compositions, but most of all because of Ludwig Güttler himself.
He can hardly count his awards anymore: Record prizes, the Adenauer Prize, the Stifter Prize, the National Prize, the Telemann Prize and the Handel Prize.
And the Queen awarded him the Order of the British Empire.
As the driving force behind the rebuilding of Dresden's bombed-out Frauenkirche, he has already set himself a lasting monument.
But above all, he is the most popular German trumpeter of all time.
