Located in Frankfurt's Eschersheim district, Ristorante Brighella, which opened its doors 30 years ago, invites you to join in the celebrations as part of the Great Brighella Street Festival on the weekend of June 22 and 23. A large stage and tables and benches for up to 400 guests will then be set up on Langheckenweg, which is closed to traffic, directly in front of the ristorante. In addition to the wide range of Italian food and drinks, including in-house Brighella wines and grappa, there will be an exceptional entertainment program.
The show program
The main program consists of two parts each. Starting at 5pm, award-winning magicians Timothy Trust & Diamond will offer up clever magic tricks. Beginning at 9 p.m., two impressive vocal stars, Neapolitan singer Francesca Maresca and New York entertainer and vocalist Eric Emmanuele, will be on hand. They will be flown in specially from Naples (Francesca Maresca) and from New York (Eric Emmanuele) to Frankfurt for the Brighella Street Festival. Both artists will be accompanied by renowned jazz pianist Tom Schlüter and his band. The former leader of the Tigerpalast Orchestra has already been on stage with music greats such as Jermaine Jackson, Chaka Khan and Robert Palmer. In addition, the Italian singer and guitarist Angelo Furnari and many other artists will provide spirited entertainment. The varied music programme includes folk, pop, jazz and swing.
Numerous leisure activities for children (including a bouncy castle) round off the festival.
Demanding cuisine and entertaining entertainment
."It's exactly this blend of sophisticated cuisine and level-headed entertainment that defines our Ristorante Brighella," explain chefs Mario Borazio and Leo Caporale. "Since we began in 1989, we've placed great emphasis on our cuisine and are constantly refining dishes and drinks." In addition to culinary delights, entertainment is important, especially since Mario Borazio himself spent many years on stage as a Commedia dell'Arte actor. For years, Mario Borazio and Leo Caporale have been inviting guests to lavish street festivals in the summer, and in the winter they offer a week of varied entertainment every evening as part of the traditional "Brighella Truffle Festival," which also features the two chefs and the Brighella crew.
This exciting mix goes down well with guests, including many regulars. Among them are numerous celebrities from culture and politics.
