Just in time for the start of the "Summer in Aschaffenburg" event series, a piece of the North Sea spills right in front of Johannisburg Castle. But don't worry! Nobody will get their feet wet here. Herring, scampi, salmon and all their colleagues from the sea do everything they can to ensure that the people of Aschaffenburg find them delicious - and have been doing so for over 30 years. That's how long the Hamburg fish market has been coming to the western edge of the Spessart with all its delicacies fresh from the galley, bringing along plenty of waterkant feeling for big and small buttjes. This includes shanties and other sailor music.
In keeping with the motto "fishing and shopping", Aschaffenburgers can fish for the best catches and take a breather and enjoy themselves in between.

The travelling Hamburg Fish Market will be held from 24 April to 4 May 2025. April to 4 May 2025 in front of the impressive backdrop of Johannisburg Castle on the Schlossplatz in Aschaffenburg.

Sundays and public holidays from 11 am to 10 pm
Mondays to Wednesdays from 10 am to 10 pm
Thursdays - Saturdays from 10 am - 2 pm

- Mo-Thu: The city bus lines run until approx. 21.30 hrs, the call-and-collect service (AST) then runs until 0.30 hrs.
The regional bus routes run until approx. 22.30 hrs. - Fri-Sat: The city bus routes run until approx. 21.30 hrs, the call-and-collect service then runs until 3.00 hrs. The regional bus routes run at 10.30 pm and 0.30 am.
- Orders for AST journeys must be placed at least 30 minutes before the start of the journey by telephone (Tel.: 06021-21525) or via the CarlE app. The AST fares apply. VAB season ticket holders receive a discount on the AST fare.
