His real name is Tomàs Geraldo Hirschfeld.
He was born in Rio de Janeiro and went to school in Frankfurt.
The samba was, so to speak, born into him.
Since he started DJing in 1982, he has been interested in music from other cultures as well as pop.
The word world music didn't exist back then, nor did Ü-Partys.
He took his first professional steps as a DJ at Frankfurt's "Far Out" in Sachsenhausen, now "Ponyhof".
In the 80s, longer engagements took him all over Germany.
In Cologne, he met his colleague DJ Rupen. He will support the anniversary party musically. Together, the two have 70 years of experience as DJs.
In 1990, DJ Param co-founded Germany's first smoke-free disco in the "Far Out".
In94 came the leap into independence with their own events in the Rhine-Main area.
Since 2005 he is resident DJ at Frankfurt's Brotfabrik.
His monthly "JoyDance", however, has been around for 22 years. JoyDance is not your usual Ü-party. Although many guests are over 40, oldies and party hits are largely dispensed with here. The young at heart between 40 and 60 years dance to current music, which is supplemented by classics and WorldBeat and thus results in a colorful mixture, which spreads good mood and joie de vivre.
